Hawthorn Tincture
This Hawthorn tincture is a premium 1:3 herbal extract made from the leaves and flowering tops of the Hawthorn tree, a plant renowned for its ability to support heart function. Research suggests hawthorn shows potential as a treatment for hypertension. However, it takes several weeks for the benefits to develop. Trials are limited, and more research is needed (reference here). Hawthorn has also been shown to be helpful for a range of heart conditions (see reference here).
Dosage: A typical dose is 2-3ml in water before food once or twice daily.
Ingredients: This tincture is made in the traditional way, by hydro-ethanolic percolation, with a ratio of one part crataegus spp. leaves and flowering tops to three parts liquid. The liquid is 55% water and 45% sugar beet derived ethanol.
